This year, ACO brought together over 80 composers and 200 performers for SONiC: Sounds of a New Century, our festival of the best new 21st century music, and just last month we unveiled an incredible 14 new orchestra works in our 25th annual Underwood New Music Readings and our Jazz Composers Institute Readings.

In 39 years, we have performed over 350 world premieres. Orchestra Underground, our series that embraces new technology, unusual instruments, and multimedia has created 80 new works in a decade. Our EarShot network has brought dozens of orchestras into the fold, showcasing promising composers from Berkeley, CA to Beijing, China! And Music Factory sends composers into NYC schools, teaching over 3,000 kids about music by helping them create their own.
